Join us for our fifth Wizarding Academy and explore multiple contexts for thinking about the Harry Potter series—through myth, literature, folklore, language, identity, history and film; campers will participate in daily discussions, artwork, writing, trivia, activities and games.

Come experience Herbology, the History of Magic, and Transfiguration, along with films on the series, daily wizarding sports and wizarding projects. All campers will be "sorted" into their house as preparation for a week of thinking, talking, reading, film-watching, building and fun!

Camp directors Jill Stukenberg and Holly Hassel, UWMC associate professor of English and Women' Studies, and co-author of the Critical Companion to J.K. Rowling (published December 2010), bring years of teaching experience, a love of literature and a passion for all things Harry Potter to the classroom.

This event is not sponsored by or endorsed by J.K. Rowling, Scholastic or Warner Brothers.
