UWMC is located in the City of Wausau, in Marathon County, and has been established as a center of learning, scholarship, creative arts, and cultural activity in Northcentral Wisconsin.

UWMC is a member of the University of Wisconsin Colleges and offers freshman-sophomore education in the liberal arts and preprofessional fields. The faculty and staff form an important regional resource for economic and social development, as well as cultural enrichment.

The MTHWWW Server

The objective of the MTHWWW Server project at UWMC was to create an archive of educational and other useful materials of interest to students, faculty and staff at universities, colleges and other institutions of higher education. The server was set up by Dr. M. Maheswaran on a trial basis in December 1993 and was established as a WWW Server on May 1, 1994.
