Royall High School Graduate to attend UW Marathon in Wausau, WI.

Sam Wildes of Royall High School (Elroy, WI) will attend the University of Wisconsin Marathon County next fall and play basketball for the Huskies.  An off-guard, the 6'0" Wildes averaged 10 points and 3.5 rebounds per game for the Scenic Bluffs Conference Champions who finished with a 13-1 conference mark and 18-4 overall.

Wildes was named honorable mention all-conference both his junior and senior years at Royall High School.  A solid student, he earned a 3.5 grade average and a top 20 scholastic ranking in his class while being named to the honor roll all four years.

"I am pleased to land a student-athlete the caliber of Sam Wildes," said Coach Dave Gibbs of UWMC.  "He is a conscientious performer in the classroom and on the court, and has worked hard for everything he's obtained.  On top of that, he comes from a program accustomed to winning.  I look forward to working with him for two years."

Wildes, the son of Michael and Rebecca Wildes of Elroy, plans to major in pre-law at the Marathon campus of the University of Wisconsin Colleges, located in Wausau, Wisconsin.
