Owen-Withee High School Graduate to attend UW Marathon in Wausau, WI.

Jeremy Wright of Owen-Withee High School (Owen, WI) will attend UW Marathon County next fall and play basketball for the Huskies.

Wright, a 6'4" forward, was named first team all-conference in the Eastern Cloverbelt Conference this past season.  He also received honorable mention All-Northwest honors.  He scored 11 points per game, and led his team in rebounding with 5.2 per game.  He was named his team's most valuable player.

"Jeremy is an aggressive inside player with a real nose for the ball," said UWMC Coach Dave Gibbs.  "His athleticism will be extremely valuable as he adjusts to the faster and more physical style of college basketball."

Wright, the son of Terry and Cynthia Wright of Owen plans to major in Communications at the Wausau campus.
